The Starr's Mill Panthers and Lady Panthers BOTH finish the 2010 season as AAAA State Champions. Congratulations to Coach Myers and Coach Hanie and both Starr's Mill teams on fine seasons and courageous play in the finals.

Kelley O'Hara Named To The 2010 WPS All-Star Team The Lady Panthers have their first pro soccer all-star now that Kelley O'Hara has been named to the 2010 WPS All-Star Team. Kelley is a 2006 graduate of SMHS and led our Lady Panthers to their first previous State Championship that year. Now Kelley stars as a forward for the FC Gold Pride of San Jose, CA. She will represent FC Gold Pride as an All-Star alongside teammates Marta, Shannon Boxx, Christine Sinclair and Rachel Buehler. This has been a phenomenal year for Kelley. Transformer Junior Stuart Pope will be transforming from a Panther into a Wildcat in 2011. Last week, Stuart made her verbal commitment to play for the University of Kentucky after graduation from Starr’s Mill. Stuart becomes the 8th player on the 2010 Varsity Girls team to commit to a college soccer scholarship. Stuart endured an agonizing 2009 sophomore season when she was sidelined after knee surgery and was unable to play at all. This season she has returned to form to spark the Lady Panthers’ offense with 6 goals and 3 assists in 7 games. And her clutch penalty kick sealed the victory over last year’s national #1 - St. Pius. Signing Day 2010 Wednesday, February 3rd, was a big day for eight Panther soccer players as they gathered at school to ink college scholarships with their respective suitors this week. Eight Panther soccer players of the Class of 2010 were awarded college scholarships.
